My Birthday!!!
Hey guys, thanks for the birthday wishes and everything (I particularly liked Maxim's :D)!!! Just thought I'd say that I had a pretty great day!!! Also, I finally finished 'Shaman King'!!! It was kinda surreal, finishing something that I've been reading for years. There was a massive twist at the end, and a bit of a lack of clarification, but it was a bit like the end of 'Inception' where you get to make up your own mind... But great none-the-less :D But anyhui, I had a great 17th and that's what really matters :D
First Day
so... how was it?
i mean.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAMBIE!!! YAY CAN YOU PLEASE SOMEBODY CHOOSE NEXT PERSON OF THE MONTH!!

Next Saturday
Hey guys
So like I have told some of you.
I am having a BBQ dinner thing next weekend.
All of you are invited and it's just to chill and yeh.
2 things though.
1. Sorry, but no staying the night.
2. We have to clean up, like last time.
It'll be on the saturday. I can pick you guys up from central at 5.
It's also Marlena's birthday. I will make a cake but if you guys could bring some kind of food it'd be great.
Just like a pack of chips or dip would be great.
Also could some of you bring Solo and coke and stuff to drink (non-alcoholic for now)
And Hui or anyone for that matter, please don't invite random people. Yeh, don't.
On another note, School tomorrow. FML FML FML
I don't want to go back.
Although it does mean seeing everyone again.
GTG now.

Kidz!
oh hai xD
just landed like 3 hours ago and took a shower. its soo hot it feels like im in asia. What did you kids do for australia day?'
anyhui, this is a summary of what i did in the holidays
Went to vancouver, whistler, Niagara falls, orlando, seattle, montreal and toronto. it was winter.
winter in orlando was awesome cos it made people where sweaters and scarfs, which was appropriate to the wizarding world of harry potter's landscape/environment etc, like, it would have been weird to be there in summer cos everyone would have been in singlets and shorts when theres fake snow on the buildings.
orlando was basically amuseparks and shopping.
i got sick for the entire time we were in montreal so i was sick through christmas but it was still awesome, everything there is french
seattle was cool, we were only there for 1 night but we met awesome asian people who were exactly like us
spent new years in toronto which was fun
niagara falls has waayyy less trees than i thought and it was super touristy, still awesome
the snow in whistler was really great and we went ziplining
vancouver was so sweet, we just walked around and explored the place, watched alot of family guy, storage wars, hoarders, intervention, friends, icarly and suite life on deck
yayy holiday! miss u guize lots, cant wait to see yall :)

Hogg = super amazing
anyway, im not even sure when ill be back because all i know is that im in the airport at the gate about to catch my plane and i believe today is australian day? How was that? But i have no idea when ill be back due to time differences and stuff its actually super complicated.
But hogg, i for one vote for an all day activity, maybe go to have yum cha then to darling harbour, then to someone's house and then sleepover or lurking around at night in the city (thats always fun) like last time when we were in QVB throwing hats!
IM AT THE WRONG AIRPORT

Tra la la la la la
Anyway
I suggest we do something saturday or sunday as ru and hui are back.
I think maybe go to yum cha either day would be good.
Or maybe we can go to that pool place in darling harbour and play pool and go bowling.
We could also go out to dinner. Maybe even go to someone's house and go for a swim
Vote for your favourite day and activity and we'll do it.
Personally I vote sunday cause depending on her flight, we might be able to get Marlena to come along.
Also Brian, 2 things. What is your last name? I realised I have no idea when writing your postcard.
How is everyone's timetable?

so timetables came out eh?
hey guys. Oh that, thats just some place i walked past.
Anyway, Im going to leave for sydney the day after tomorrow so im probably going to land in thursday or friday. So this is the last week of holidays and school is starting really soon. Im starting to scare myself at how little work ive done over the holidays so im hoping i can push through it as my first deadline is on febuary the 2nd and i havent even started it. So i hope that we can at least meet up before school starts maybe we can go on a trip or to a park and have a nice day. You guys have a nice week
-msgoldenweek
So yeh
So yeh I'm gonna go on a little rant about my timetable.
First of all,
Who the fuck thought it was a good idea to put physics first thing on a monday and last thing on a friday. I mean I enjoy physics but fuck that is painful.
Another thing,
Sure tripple maths, the other class had it last year but why over the course of a week do I have it in 3 different class rooms.
Finally, for all the people complaing about there early and late days being on a slightly different day to what they would have hoped, shut the fuck up. I have 0 early days and one slightly early afternoon when I can leave at 3:15 and german ext. is not on my timetable yet. Why are all my frees in the middle of the day???? I have 4 on a friday. I can't concentrate for that long. Ah god.
Ah well, that's enough.
See you guys later

Yep..
So I'm having trouble sleeping in the early morning now.
And it's all thanks to a little something called jet lag.
Anyway I thought I would take some time to tell you why my family is insane.
So in the first part of my holidays away I was at my grandparents in Northern NSW. While we were there, my sister brought up the idea of pets and that she wanted chickens. And you know what, my mum said yes just like that. Now this may seem fine to you but you don't know my track record with animals. This may shock you and no animals were harmed but it's actually appalling. So in the period of 10 years I had mice then a bird then a rabbit then mice again then a cat. The rabbit was insane (like I'm not even kidding) and Shelley my cat ran away. But the others were because I didn't take care of them. And you know they went onto better homes.
Anyway so my mum said yes to my shock. Anyway we looked at chicken coops and it's being delivered thursday which means we had to go to a shop in Enfield (if you don't know where that is, it's near croydon and strathfield) anyway we went there and bought a chicken coop. While we were there, my sister spotted a grey bunny, which she asked my mum if she could have. Admittedly it's cute, but my mum said after the chickens were settled she would think about it. Now fair enough but while we were there we spotted some quails. Now my mum is obsessed with quails. They are one of her favourite animals. Anyway we ordered the chicken coop and left the place to come home. On the way we dropped into Bunnings, to buy wire mesh to stop foxes getting into the chickens, it's going to be dug into the groung. My weekend project next weekend. But while there we noticed a rabbit hutch, and under minimal convincing, my sister allowed my mum to buy it.
Now when we got home, I put the rabbit hutch together and put the plastic mesh on to stop foxes. Then my mum and sister decided they wanted to get the rabbit. So we trekked back to the pet shop and got the rabbit and now my mum is thinking of getting quails. So in a period of 2 months we will go from not even thinking of pets to having a bunny, 4 or 5 chickens, and maybe 5 or 6 quails. 12. What is wrong with my family? My mother is the most anti-pet woman in the world. Hmm. Dream maybe?
Ah anyway. Gotta go.

im so excited, im still awaiting this child
im so excited, im still awaiting this child
Saturday it is.
Ok so turns out tomorrow it is for doing something.
What time are we meeting up?
What are we doing?
And Who's coming?
My suggestions are meet central at like 11 or 12.
Bring like $20 or $30 and then we can decide what we want to do.
Brian doesn't like the beach so that's not it.
Otherwise I'm pretty cool with whatever.
On another note; who is in sydney atm?
Also pics from my hols.
Ru, Hui and Sam this photo will make sense when you get your postcard.
Also these are from my skiing trip
Photos take so long to upload atm, so thats all I'm gonna post for now. Also, answer the questions in the comments please. Or make a post.

singapore airport is awesome
so like the title says, it s awesome.
i want to do like a "all the cool shit i did on the holidays" post but that would take ages so im just going to do a last 24 hours post
ive been waking around the 12 o'clock area latly so it was a big shock to wake up at 7 for the flight. had breackfast with my uncle aunt and dad and then left with lots of kisses and see you next years, (forgot my mobile charger). got to the airport and kissed my dad goodbye. left feeling spritely, (if thats a word), i was going home. At the boarding gate there was this kid (australian) who was all like "I HATE YOU MUM, YOU FUCKING BITCH!!" cause apparently she packed like his perfune into carry on luggage and so it got confiscated. left paris all sad and shit.
in the plane got the top deck and was on the aisle with noone next to me. had a sleep and watched megamind, some french movie, lord of war, takers, and animal kingdom. went to piss like 10 times. one time i went to open the door but some idiot forgot to lock it so i almost walked into him shitting.
then i got here and was like what the fuck do i do now? but then i remembered this airport was awesome so i went to the hard rock cafe, watched a chinese movie, ate waffles, charged my phone and played xbox 360. This place is awesome. then i wrote this. and now im going to go to my gate. and i bought a hershey bar.
22 nd sounds good by the way, see you then, whatever we're doing

Yay Free internet
Hey guys,
So I am in Simgapore Changi internet right now using there free internet computers.
The flight from Zurich to here wasnt too bad, we had 4 seats for the 2 of us. And yet I only slept for 90 mins.
But yay one 12 and a half hour flight down, only a 9 hour and 40 minute flight to go. (with a 10 yr old who has had no sleep)
I feel obliged to say kill me now.
Anyway I sent all your postcrds before I left but they will get to Sydney after me as luft post is shit.
Also we should do something on the 21st. Cause I will hopefully not be jetlagged then
Gotta go get on the plane.
Emily
(excuse all the massive spacing. I am reallytired. I have only have 5 hours sleep in what for me is equivalent to 3 days( this may also explain the 'kill me now' bit and the ranting in brackets now) also Sydney should get trams, cause they are fucking awesome)
Yeh I'm weird. Cya soon

How you doin'?
Well hello there my friends, as you may or may not have realised, I have not posted in ages!!! so here I am. I don't think I've posted since before Christmas, so lets take a trip back down (my) memory lane...
For Christmas, my mum, sister and I, all drove up to the Gold Coast (it's about a 10 hour drive). but it was pretty fun, we stayed at my mum's friend's place for 2 days (at Port Macquarie) and then kept driving up to Sea World which was where we stayed. The Sea World Resort was nice and I took a really nice photo of the sunset on our first night (across the harbour from the 3rd floor). At the Gold Coast, we only really went to the theme parks but almost the whole time it was raining for so LONG and randomly too. Like, there'd be patches without rain where you'd let yourself hope that it had stopped for good, only for it to crush you under it's downpour. But it was still good fun because it was theme parks and my whole family on my mum's side (who are all pretty funny people. On Christmas there we all went to a buffet, where me (being the kind-a-guy who likes to try combinations of food) happily accepted the dare to try satay chicken skewers with peanut butter sauce, coated in vanilla ice-cream. Now I realise that this may taste disgusting, but as my cousin (the only other person to try it) said; "without the peanut butter sauce, these two foreign flavours would not be able to not just accept eachother, but embrace eachother and all of their differences." (that was paraphrased). So after a few days, we came home.
Once we got back, there was like two days till new years. NYE was pretty fun, I hung out with marlena, madisun, joel, josh, megan and alex. and after that some of us crashed at marlena's (such as I) and some at madison's.
Since then, I've done not a whole lot, I've hung out with a few people, read a book, watched/bought some movies (I still love Fired Up). I got an MRI i think it was two days ago, to see what was happening with my shoulder (you know the bump that I have) which was ridiculously expensive (a little over $500) which makes me worry about how much my leg lengthening is gonna cost since it's obvious that medical stuff costs a heap! I got some jeans yesterday (i dunno if i'll keep them or what) and I've really gotten into 'Jake and Amir' from College Humour and I've listened to some Lonely Island (also HILARIOUS) and some Kid Cudi (check out 'Erase Me', it's got McLovin/Red Mist and the main guy's friend from Kick A**) and some other bands too.So that's my Holidays so far.
Can everyone who isn't in Sydney or isn't gonna be in sydney either post seperately or comment when they are leaving/ getting back?
I hope everyone else is also having a great time and I'll see you all later!

Holy Shit
so anyway.. I've noticed that I start a lot of my posts with "Holy Shit." I was originally gonna call this "Top of the World" coz I went up the tallest building in the world, but I only went half way so it doesn't really count.
SO Dubai, you ask? No, I sell.
I'm not actually staying in Dubai, im staying in a smaller emirate (basically kingdom) called Ajman. It's sorta like Campbelltown is to Sydney.
So like got here, saw dad, blah blah blah. First night (??) we went to some massive company dinner thing with all the indian workers at dads work who got drunk and sung Hindu songs - which was LOL
Sometime after that we went to Ferrari World - theres not much point going except for OH MY GOD FORMULA ROSSA FASTEST ROLLER COASTER IN THE WORLD HOLY SHIT IT WAS AWESOME!!!! like, I've been on a roller coaster similiar to it before, and that was fast at 110km/h, but HOLY SHIT THE FORMULA ROSSA GOES AT 244km/h in FIVE SECONDS FUCK IT FELT LIKE IT ACCELERATED AND ACCELERATED AND NEVER STOPPED ACCELERATING MY FACE WAS LIKE JELLY
Then we did typical toursity/shoppy stuff for the week after that, such as beaches, etc., since dad was still working for a week so we had to find stuff to do. Bought some stuff, forgot what it was but w/e. We met some of dad's work friends, one of them was a 28 Very Aussie bloke and his really pretty wife, and they are pretty cool. The other ones were an Italian Albanian ex-footballer dude living here with his wife and he is cool he reminds me of Borat, like SERIOUSLY.
Umm umm went to a shooting range, went to indoor skydiving thing with massive fan and awesome Arabic guy with Dreadlocks.
Christmas was typical christmas for when you're overseas in a non-Christian country. Was sort of festive, got like 2 presents, then we had Lunch for like 6 hours at fancy Western Hotel and the manager was a massive German dude who would've made a good Nazi. No camel rides, which was sad since they advertised them.
New Years was - an experience. Went to aforementioned Italian Albanian guys new house (his baby is SOO FUCKING CUTE. HE HAS LIKE THREE DIFFERENT COSTUMES OF LIKE A COW AND SANTA AND HE RIDES HIS STUFFED CAMEL TEDDY.) Did nothing for like 4 hours waiting for food, then food came and everyone got drunk (excpet me and garry) and we saw the Biggest Building in the World explode in fireworks on TV.
Then after New Years we went to some awesome beach resort on the East Coast, where we went Scuba Diving, Snorkerling and Jet Skiing.
For anyone that's afraid of the water and hates fish like I do, I suggest go SCUBA DIVING. It is seriously awesme. Like, I freak out when I touch seaweed at a beach and this time we were 12m underwater and there were sharks and everything and I was absolutely fine - its like being in an aquairum that you're actually in. It's God-Like. Had Birthday there, present basically is "buy whatever you want when we get home." Im thinking an iPhone.
Then today, the last full day here, we tried to go to Oman but dad couldnt access his passport so we got turned away. Was nice way to end Holiday though.
So yeah I made this so I wouldnt feel guilty about not making a post about my to Dubai, like I forgot to do last time. Will post pics when I get back, and hopefully when i remember what i did half the time.
P.S. Russians. Lots and lots of Russians. Russians, everywhere...

A Few Things
Hey guys,
Just a few things I want to say:
First, Than you so much for making me an admin. It is flattering that I post so much on this blog. Ahh bit sad oh well. It's like my mum says quite often, we always have to be in contact. It's true really, I dont think I could deal with not even slightly communicating with any of you for 2 whole months. Ah gotta love the internet.
On that note I will move onto the second thing.
I think this year to replace author of the month, we should have a person of the month. Based on how they are doing in life and how much they have accomplished. Maybe even if they did something nice for a friend. I reckon it should be from the 15th to the 14th of a month. So as a start I vote in Lambert, as he is always nice and generally caring, lead by example, as the teachers always say, (bit annoying I think but it's true).
Finally, onto my holiday.
So I left Sydney at 7:30 pm on the 3rd of Jan. The weather was shit out of singapore so the plane we were meant to get on ran 40 minutes late, so yeh we were delayed but eventually we got on the plane to go to Singapore, for anyone interested it was a Boeing 777. Just saying. I didn't get to sleep but they had iCarly on the entertainment system and various other movies. I watched a couple of movies. PLayed pokemon, listened to music, the usual. We landed in Singapore at 2:50 am (australian time) or 11:50 pm (singapore time) and we were taken to a lounge in one of the big golf carts they have for airports. My sister was hungry so i went to the supermarket upstairs. They had Pocky and Hello Panda, which I bought. Was tasty.
SO we were in the lounge for a while then we went and got on the next plane. It was an A380, which was pretty cool, economy is still shit but there was some novelty as we got to sit on the upper deck. But you know, economy is economy. The flight was ok until about 3 hrs in when Sophie decided it would be a good time to have a tantrum cause she was tired. The hostesses were really helpful tho, they moved me downstairs for a few hours so my sister could have a sleep. There was a spare seat between me and the guy I was next to so luckily I could stretch out and i slept for 5 or so hours. I went back to my sister to have breakfast. It was pretty good.
Anyway we landed in Zurich at 7:00 am their time (5:00 pm Australian) and I was exhausted. We found Dad waiting for us and we went to his house in Schaffhausen. It was relaxing and pretty nice. Under floor heating and stuff. I sorta chilled for a while, watched youtube videos and just relaxed. But by around 4:30 I went to sleep and slept til 2 am when I woke up and couldnt get back to sleep.Wasn't such a big deal tho. THe next day we went shopping, I bought 2 pairs of jeans and a wallet. And my dad and sister bought stuff too. Then we went into my dad's swiss office to help him photocopy his tax stuff. It took like 2 hrs and Sophie fell asleep on the floor. I helped Dad. We came home and put Sophie to bed and had dinner, shortly after I went to bed. The next day, my dad and sister went back to his work to do more photocopying but I stayed home and did 3 unit maths work, it was boring. In the evening we watched comedy and relaxed. Friday (yesterday) was a good day. I got up round 9, had a shower got my skiing stuff ready then went to Zurich to see Brigitta, It was really awesome, we went to this roman fort thing, climbed a church tower, walked along the river, had coffee and cake in this elaborate but amazingly kitch coffee shop and went to her aunt's and uncle's house. It was really fun, we left round 4 so I could go shopping, we went to a Papeterie which is a stationary shop then to Manor (like Myer) and I bought headphones and a memory card. Pretty nice. Went home round 6, Dad picked me up from the train station. I got really moody, which wasn't great. We packed up, had dinner and went to bed but I got sick and at midnight got up and threw up which was gross. (sry for any details that are boring/gross) anyway I had a shower and went back to bed and today I was fine.
Brings me to today, we had to get up at 6:30 so we could get to the airport (Dad had to drop off a hire car) and then catch a train. We took 2 trains. The first went from Zurich to Visp. I wrote post cards for people and listened to music. The second train went from Visp to Zermatt (where we are staying). It's really famous, It's called the Matterhorn Gottard Bahn. There is a 14km tunnel in it going through the mountains. It was pretty from the train. We got to Zermatt at 12:30 and the hotel picked us up, There are no cars so they have these little carts like the onesd you see in airports but they are kinda like mini buses with a place for luggage, I will take a photo of one to post. Anyway, we arrived, unpacked and got skis then we hit the slopes. It was really cool. The Matterhorn is areally distinctive and we went to 2500m and thats not even the highest you can go. It was really pretty and nice.
I am here for a week and will post again soon but now I got to go. I need a bath to relax.

Worth listening pt. X2
A thousand different flavours.
This half a week's a bit different in that there's been far too many remixes for it which is pretty awesome (Maybe beaten only by Major Lazor's "Hold the Line") , this track I've had lying around forever, it's really awesome, repetitive yes, but awesome. Anyway, audio speaks louder than text so here it is.
Shinichi Osawa, the original.
The Japanese Popstars remix.
Alavi remix.
Those are my two top picks for the many remixes of this song.
Chemical Brothers also did a cover of it, but it's just pretty samey...

New admin and pictures of my travels~~
So it has been decided that Hoggle will be the lastest admin to our blog board so everyone please welcome and congratulate her.
Um there was this unicorn toy and it was too adorable so i had to take a picture of it. But no seriously, it looked like somebody had to much to drink/smoke/inject/snort last night...
And this is a chimera that hui and i built out of snow. Because our balcony had a roof over it, the snow wouldnt fall on the balcony so we had to get a bucket (we used a recycling bin) and run down to get snow, run back up and dump the snow on the balcony and run back down to get the snow and run up to dump it on the balcony etc etc. We made the body reallly good but when we woke up the next day the snow was melting and its once fat and muscular legs thinned out. It was meant to be a bear but as you can see, it does not really resemble that so it became some sort of human cross bear cross pig chimera.

Blogger doesn't work properly on an iPod especially with shitty wifi
Hello everybody
Smaz here and I have wifi so umma type this but be prepared cause I might type a fair bit, which on my ipod takes great dedication as well as autocorrecting things, and punctuation is harder to do so sorry
So anyway, I'm currently in Fiji in a resort called the Naviti resort. And from said resort we purchased one hour of wifi, which cost ten fijian dollars or about 6 - 7 aud.
When we got to Fiji it was raining heaps, it's monsoonal or something idk. And first night in we stayed in the terraces on denauru island. Now Fiji is a beautiful place and all, but unfortunately denauru island isn't. It's full of australian suburban brats with their hair braided, and the whole of the island is hotels, golf course and a huge shopping mall + dock.
Denauru island is man made, on a mangrove swamp in suva. It has security guards. All the local Fijians don't really like it much. The bus driver, a really cool guy, was all, "yeah come back to my village and we'll be welcoming, you look like cool people, everything is free and communal and kava ceremonies and etc there, where are you going?" And we told him and he was disappointed like, "oh." but we told him what we did next and it was ok, and he was like "oh, ok, cool."
And in denauru I lost my swimmers and dad lost his ipod, which he got after leaving his old workplace of twentyfive years but it turned out he had it all along in his shoe.
So then we spent four days, including the new years, on drawoqa island, pronounced drawonga, cause that's Fijian spelling. It was a great four days. It was a small group of like fourteen people and because of this by the end we all knew each other well, except that I'm a quiet person so I didn't really but w/e. We sort of clumped into two groups for the most part... There was us four,
Anita from California with a strong accent close to chelynes and who was old, but a traveller all her life, going to Tonga afterwards
Matt and Claire from Sydney who turned out to be from Lilyfield the whole time, who abandoned their three kids to go on holiday in Fiji
Cristina from Sweden who turned up in the second half and didn't do many activities with us
And from the other group there were two sets of Germans (5 in total) one couple were really cool and festive and stuff, and the other couple did nothing but they had a 20yo son who looked remarkably like thorston, but didn't do anything either.
And the Finns. The Finnish guys were definitely the coolest out of everyone. They were HAM radio operators who meet up to go to places to HAM radio operate. They didn't hang out with each other outside of this, different age groups and professions (all 35+), but they were awesome. The whole time they were constantly drinking but never showed any signs of it. They got everyone to try salted liquorice but it tastes like shit. (It's a national icon over there.)
And the tour guide as well as some of the staff, they were pretty cool too. Freddy the barman was awesome with his moustache and etc, and me and Jemma kept getting pineapple juice mixed with grenadine, whatever it is. It makes it red.
Anyway, it was just these people on an island with little huts, and it felt like we were in a tourist ad or something, idk. It was incredible. The beaches looked tropical and were right in front of you wherever you go, I'll get a pic when I get home. No electricity or anything though, and I spent the whole time reading finishing four books. I tried to start the true history of the Kelly gang but it was killing me with it's horrible writing style.
We went to a traditional village (it was incredibly wealthy because of tourism) and had a kava ceremony (it was a fake one though, and it was obvious cause the villagers dancing were really bored with it an didn't take it seriously.
And then it was over and it was really weird. We were all of a sudden in a resort. Which is like denauru but crowded. (denauru wasn't, it was pretty sparse.) everything is expensive, except we have a package which gives us lots of stuff for free. Which is nice.
But I got diarrhea and so instead of doing anything at the resort I've been sitting in my room playing pokemon and listening to music (kanyes new album is fucking amazing) / playing iPod games (space invaders infinity gene. Get it) and I feel like shot because of this and also I'm stopping everyone from doing stuff. It's been like that for three days now. Good fun
And yeah. That's everything. Oh yeah, also, world cup team is an anagram of talcum powder.
Hope you guys are having good holidays and we need to do shot together when I get back, cause I miss you guys.
Late Happy new year everybody

New Year means new month!
Okay so since we've used up all the authors for the author of the month thing, i have decided that since it is a new year, someone who is not an admin can be voted in to be the new admin! yay
Worth listening pt..X1
Anyway, so to you know, bring some resemblance of order to my life or whatever I'm starting Worth Listening again, though I doubt anyone missed it.
This is mostly to motivate me to find new music I guess, so I'll make it bi-weekly, whatever though.
This really has been a classic floor-filler for about half a year now, though just recently it's been re-released on Bag Raiders new self titled album. I'm sure I've posted a song from that album earlier though (I'm pretty sure it was Sunlight)
and yeah, really this song has just gone off all over Australia.
P.S. Man I'm really devo I missed out on Field Day :(
