if we want to get standing tickets, we have to queue up at 9:am at castlereagh st at the ticket office place and its 2 tickets per person... so we have to like camp out tomoz at night until day to get them. the reason is that they dont want scalpees to buy the tickets online and sell them for a high price and it also proves how die-hard their fans are, cos like scalpees wont be bothered to go queue up for awesome tickets. first 150 people inline will defeinitly get it cos there are 300 standing tickets.... in other words, we cant get them unless 2 of us queue, so we has to camp overnight to make sure we get them or just get siting tickets and like stand or something

it was actually pretty good though we didnt stay till the end BUT like isabel polgar and isabel muscatello from year 9 were like there and i was like holyshit why r they here and oliver from year 7 was there tooooo and anouk and penelope were also there.

oh oh and the skatecomp yesterday in the city was like super fucking awesome like omg!!!!! man skaters are crazzzzeey, they like grinded on the ramp, flew off with their board spinning out of control, hit the floor face first then slid across the floor and just like got up and did that again as if it didnt hurt at alll. they're just crazy its fucking insane and me blaise kaz stood there for liek 5hours straight without eating or sitting just watching skaters. it was soo great. but i missed ABDC yesterday... so sad.. and in the middle of watcing the comp, Kwon suddenly appeared looking for jonny or something and it was really random. i never saw Kwon after that....

Transformers/SUPANOVA

so like yeah. we went to supanova and saw transformers at 12 midnight and it was awesum!!! except that people decided to buy their tickets late and like it was all booked out so megan, jon, kwon and goat couldnt watch it... so sad. and i thought it was a pretty cool movie like the imaxness of it except that it was kinda shaky but i liked it..... and at supanova, it was awesum wit all the cosplayers and stuff and all the free random posters.

and thats like smaz wit the brawl poster and that like a hell lot of posters we got. and then we slept over at marlenas and had breakfast in the QVB. so that was cool. and we saw adrienne, rel, billie, billie's friend zoey and lambie's cousin who was nothing like him like she was like, 'wow, i didnt know you had friends.' and she was cool.

and thats jules and emily hogg sleeping. and we sang issues at three am cause it was 3am and she wont put out..... (sorry kwon)

because your parents choose it for you at birth and stuff and if you have weird parents they give a weird name. unfortunately some of the most awesome names aren't actually really realistic in terms of your kid not being picked on and stuff blah blah blah blah. names like: hieronymous, algernon, merlin etc. because i mean, is the name hieronymous not awesome??? if i lived in the 1400s that's what i'd call my son. if i lived in the late 1800s i'd call him algernon and if a lived in an arthurian legend i'd call him merlin. arthur works now though. i do actually quite like arthur as a name. If I believe I do not exist then how do I have the consciousness to question my own existence? If I don't exist then nothing around me exists either, then why don't I destroy it all? If I don't exist then I have nothing to lose but what do I have to gain my destroying everything around me and leaving absence in it's place? Do I Get a kick out of destruction? If I do then that must mean I exist... which means everything around me is in existence meaning there are consequences to my destruction meaning I should not destroy, why though should I have no reason to exist therefore destroy if I feel and I feel positively towards destruction then why should I not destroy... because I feel more towards the existence of existence around me then I do absence?
What do I have to gain from my existence? What do I have to gain from my absence?

Dead Space Review

I promised to post this review up ages ago but really never had the time to compose one. However after thinking about it, it becomes pretty clear that this just shows how little I really care about the game.

Let me start of by saying how incredibly repetative repetative repetative repetative this game can get. Sure the environments look different every now and then, once you clean up all the blood in the room and just turn the lights on and ta da! you're walking through the same room at least 3 or 4 times before you progress to the next level.

The actual designs for the zombies are appropriately disgusting. Some zombies still have a sense of humanity which makes it actually scarier. There are also zombies which if you shoot their belly, tiny zombies swarm the floor and eat you. There are flying ones which turn corpses into a zombie but this can be easily countered by stomping on the dead ones so they can't be zombified. Perhaps the most annoying one is probably the zombie which can't die....you shoot it's limbs off and it just regrows them back so what's the point of shooting him?....Now the best battles are with the bosses. The most disgusting one is probably the Anus Monster down in food storage.....called an anus monster for a good reason.

Perhaps the one thing that annoys me to no end is that the game uses the same scare over and over. For example, Issac (dude you play as) walks down a corridor when he turns a corner and a zombie lays dead. However one step further the zombie pounces up and mauls his neck and bites his ears off. Fine yes it made me soil myself ever so slightly but when you use the scare over and over atleast 7 times it'll surely lose it's scare. Also i ran out of ears a long time ago.

Moving on. The gunplay itself it ok. It does make aiming abit more important from the usual plan of spray and pray with the strategic dismemberment tactic. HOWEVER!!!! It is a nightmare playing with keyboard and mouse. Now i have a Logitech G9 mouse and it is a spectacular mouse but when i was playing this, when you change views it feels like you're dragging the camera view. In short...play with a controller or you'll have trouble aiming for those vital limbs.

To the biggest of problems.....I didn't finish the game. The game gave me no reason to continue. It was a frustrating game for me. Perhaps I'm an incompetent gamer (highly unlikely) but i was about halfway through and i was harassed by these tiny little creeping zombies which swarm your body. Not only that i was trying to dodge a freaking gyroscope spining around a rock whilst in zero gravity. This combination of sluggish camera movement, low health and a what seems to be an empty gun...it doesn't make for a fun play through.

The characters are boring.....especially Issac. You barely say anything and all you do is become the bitch of the black guy ordering you to fetch random bits of data. Strangely enough, Issac's wife is also on the ship who seems oddly calm about her surroundings. One such moment is that you have to protect her whilst she unlocks a door or something and zombies pop up from behind her and claws at her. Maybe she's made of steel but she walks out of the room after as if nothing has happened. At least limp or something woman!

Fine I do admit there are some neat little bits and pieces in the game. For one it sounds great. The creaking of the ship when you're walking through the corridor or the silence of space, it does a great job of keeping you immersed, aided by the lack of a HUD it's a no brainer that it makes you feel apart of the game. There's also a cool little stasis thing which allows you to manipulate objects like pick things up and throw it across a room through the power of science *COUGH GRAVITY GUN HALF LIFE 2* which not only becomes a tool for plugging in power nodes but can be used to hurl bits of scrap into the zombies itself....or you can throw the power node itself and lose it like i did....*got lodged into the world geometry somehow*

So what do i ultimately think?.....It's not horrible the game....it makes good use of the strategic dismemberment and the weapons provided are interesting enough (although how is a contact beam supposed to be a mining tool?) and i suppose if you play it in bursts it would keep you going till the finish.

But overall...it's rent worthy but certainly not worth the initial $100 you pay.

Incidentally you could use that money to buy my lovely arielle a birthday present :D

the problem with a blog

is that it makes you realise how dreadfully dull your life is. i mean what are all our posts about? just random stuffs i know. but they're not that interesting random stuffs. like i mean all we talk about is music videos and people, usually rantingly. wow my computer thinks rantingly is a word. is it? it IS a word!!!!!!!!! i would never have thought. see what i mean??? not that fascinating. we should have games and fun stuff! and stuff. yeah...

and also, there are too many rules and restrictions that make the blog more dull. I mean, its like a filter that people have to think through before they type stuff. but on another note, maybe our posts aren't dull. because people all have different perspectives of dullnicity so we can't acutally say their dull as some people may find them interesting. But maybe im the only one who types dull stuff and i guess there are some interesting random stuffs.

Short story-poem retarded fish baby...

Anyway this is a short story I wrote, it’s more stream of consciousness if anything but it's some kind of retarded fish baby of a short story and a poem...

I still haven't thought of a name for it though...

It was nine in the evening, the weather thin and seething as we walked the streets with no aim we came across fork after fork after fork in the road, each with their own problems and faults, each with their own questions often unanswerable. I was not frustrated, I was quite content for no matter which way we went I always thought we'd be together in the end.

The streets seemed to wind on forever, forever illuminated by the ever harsh street lamp. We were contended so much we did not see nor suspect the sun rising so early shining a ghastly hue that the harsh streetlights could never simulate. We awoke to a man smiling he greeted us with a heavy "good afternoon" he made sure we were well hydrated his laughter felt like a banshees scream on my already beating head. We both felt as old as him but not as mature I think all three of us knew that much as we left with a polite thanks and a handshake and as he told us he envied us...

We came accros many more forks in the road but this time we knew which way to go knowing always that the road'd end sometime soon. Heavy witht personal burden but still contented we went all the right ways will we reached the end, it felt so good the neutral want as side by side we fell back to sleep knowing where we'd wake up and with whom. you know the last section in the pd assignment? how you have to research someone who has/had your dream career? well the only person i could think of was dr dearn. this means i have to go all stalkerific on him which is really weird. I mean sure i stalk mr campbell, but that's more opportunistic (eg. electoral office and his address - i wouldn't have gone looking for it if it hadn't been right there) but with this i actually have to do stuff like it up on the internet. it's weird. and awkward.

in other news: marlena you should join mural as daniel hirsch is there and i smeared cement on his face. he has nice skin. (that's not creepy at all is it? it's just what i observed as i was smearing) anyway, adrienne and he are going on angry cheerleaders camp instead of the workshop and there was talk of daniel in short shorts.

neway, we walked 6 km to the party stopping at every shoe shop and got there where everyone was really really high/drunk
it was awesome and the newtown kids were really funny and great and i think we should all go to newtown/ they should all come to IGS kakakakakakakkakakaka
and it was one of those awesome parties where you have to hugs everyones when they leaves and i thought it was great
to summarise, THAT WAS THE BEST WEEKEND EVER (not really... it needed to have skating kakakakak) lol i love skating .... and there was a guy with cliche (a brand) shoes and was all like "zoo york? i loves zooyork and skating!!" and i was all like " ilikes your purple pants" and we all laffed

I don't understand why so many critics are saying this is a bad movie. I've seen rating from 4/10 to 2.5 out of 5. Honestly i thought it was a good movie although it has its flaws. If it was up to me i would have given it about a 6 or 7...not a 4

So, I was doing my geo, and then I typed:  " ...unlike other suburbs, Ultimo was industrial to begin with, and this means no residents will be threatened by the possible removement of " and then I stopped. 

And there was a red line under removement.

And I was all like," shit! removement isn't a word! What is this?" This is madness!

Then I angsted. And I left it in there.

And here I am, distracted from my nearly completed geography assignment (that was pretty friggin boring) to blog futilely about how removement is a better word than removal. And it's all thanks to you. I mean, removement. Yeah, that.  

Ah, such a fail assesment. Did you know that on the history assignment sheet, it was on paper but it had hyperlinks embedded? and it didn't tell you the adress, either: it was the title of the page. very strange.
