LITERALLY!!! Aight, so here is what's happened to me from the biting today...

So I was riding to school and I had to slow down for this small bridge that had about 3 people and like 8 dogs on it. Then this crazy dog comes up to me and jumps up at my calf and takes a bite. This really annoyed me (especially since I didn't even hear her say "Sorry!" or anything) and it hurt so I had to ride slowly to school (which took about twice as long as it should have). I then got to school and got antiseptic cream (or something similar) for my leg and some bandage tape stuff (by which time there was about 10 minutes left of assembly and I didn't understand what Mr. Miniska was talking about). Then I told some people (Thuso laughed the most), some over reacted (Emily and Maddy) and then some under reacted (Jon, I'm calling your's an under reaction because even though it's not big, I still got bitten by a dog and I reckon you would have had a worse reaction than me e.g. go to the doctor straight away or something unnecessary). My mum was out so I didn't get to go to the doctor till about 6:30 and then I got given a booster shot for tetanus (which could have been the most nerve racking thing that happened today for me), and antibiotics (to stop any possible infection) and he also thinks I strained a muscle which shouldn't be hurting for anyone that's not old.

So yeah, that was my day and I'm sure that everyone was riveted by my riveting story.

also if you take like, for example y = 4x

using differentiation we can immediately find

y' = 4

do it manually:

m = 8 - 4 / 2 - 1

= 4/1

and then in integration because its the reverse of differentiation, you times it by dx instead of dividing it by. thats what the dx on the end is

First of all, in reply to Sam's post.

Mr. Smith said use the n=1.88 also. his columns in the first bit are the wrong way round.
You should end up with the Voltage always on the x axis and in the last bit, don't forget to put your temperature in Kelvin or it will fuck you up. I would also recommend changing you 1/T and multiplying it by 1000. then in your graph you will have like 3.03 instead of 0.00303. Then make you axis, 1/T x 10-3. It'll look better trust me.

i'm just reading on the massacre and just felt like i should say something,

but i don't know what to say. i heard about and i was like" oh terrible" but then i read some more and saw the full impact of it and was shocked.

there were 2 attacks, first a bomb exploded in oslo, then a gunman shot and killed 85 people at a youth camp. 28 injured people had been taken to Oslo University Hospital, Twenty of them are in "critical condition". the Police chief says 4 or 5 people still missing at scene of Norway youth camp massacre.

the Columbine massacre killed 13 people. virginia tech was 32.

92 people are known to be dead so far from this massacre, but people are still missing.

the gunman hit a youth camp, for people like us. its just.... really... i have nothing to say.

friday afternoon i was pissed because i was at school till late working on my drama,

one of those things that sorta puts my life in perspective.

so im doing the prac report data manipulation within excel
and i understand the theory behind it pretty much perfectly now because ive done it so much in the last 3 days

but like, im pretty sure he did it wrong in the support document?
because I did the formula he used with the gradient he got from the final graph, and the result was like 0.58 not 1.10 that he claimed he got (on the last page)
I mean i probably got some of it wrong, I've done it 5 times with different results each time (fml)
but this was just literally using the formula he wrote on the support document with his results also on the support document (6.78) and none of my own factors and the result was not what he said it on the support document, so I'm confused as fuck right now
meaning the n he used had to be like, n=1.88 but that's fucking ridiculous, how did he get that? where the fuck do you find out the value of n?

EDIT:nvm, I just saw on the sheet the one part where he says 'n = 1.88')

anyone else doing physics wanna tell me what intercepts they got for the log diode current vs the diode voltage and whether or not for the final graph, you got a straight line for the actual data (not the trendline) (or let me see their graphs...) so that I can check the data/methodology as to whether I'm doing it right? pretty please? (you don't have to but I'd appreciate it immensely)

So since my last post, basically all I've done is crave tilt to live (which will be my end of exams reward), done different quizes on Sporcle (why did you have to post something so addictive!?!) and a bit of study.

Butterbeer recipe!!

So as I was looking up Milkshakes and Ice Cream Sodas (Australians call them Spiders... it's so lol how we somehow managed to come up with that name) on Wikipedia (I just love them.. THEY'rE SO DELICIOUS. WHEN I'M RICH I'LL HAVE MY OWN MILKSHAKE FACTORY) I came across this and thought that we should make them (yes I know Ru and Hui have already had them but I really can't wait to go to America to try them)

Basically.. Butterbeer!



So the recipe is like this:

Start to finish: 1 hour (10 minutes active)

Servings: 4

Ingredients:
-1 cup light or dark brown sugar
-2 tablespoons water
-6 tablespoon butter
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-1/2 teaspoon cider vinegar
-3/4 cup heavy cream, divided
-1/2 teaspoon rum extract
-Four 12-ounce bottles cream soda

Method:
1.In a small saucepan over medium, combine the brown sugar and water. Bring to a gentle boil and cook, stirring often, until the mixture reads 240 F on a candy thermometer.

2.Stir in the butter, salt, vinegar and 1/4 heavy cream. Set aside to cool to room temperature.

3.Once the mixture has cooled, stir in the rum extract.

4.In a medium bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of the brown sugar mixture and the remaining 1/2 cup of heavy cream. Use an electric mixer to beat until just thickened, but not completely whipped, about 2 to 3 minutes.

5.To serve, divide the brown sugar mixture between 4 tall glasses (about 1/4 cup for each glass). Add 1/4 cup of cream soda to each glass, then stir to combine. Fill each glass nearly to the top with additional cream soda, then spoon the whipped topping over each.




I also want to add like just a tiny bit of rum to mine if we make it... just a tiny amount to give it the "beerish" flavour (and in my mind anything "beer" sounds like it tastes alcoholic, even if just a bit like eggnog or those weird liquor chocolates you get)

a few weeks ago i ordered this hoodie from the us, cause i needed new jackets and shit cause the one i always wear is too bulky/ugly/whatever

and i got this really awesome one which is like earthbound related and stuff (cause earthbound is just like, yeah. fuckin amazing. lifechanging. etc etc)

it is basically an enemy known as a starman and its a central sort of figure to the mother/earthbound series even though it didn't appear in MOTHER 3. whatever. the main earthbound fansite is called starmen.net so that tells you how much important it is

so anyway, i was waiting for this anticipationlike for weeks and then today i got one of those little things in the mail that was like, 'come pick it up bitch' and so i was all, fuck yeah, and i waited like 2 hours from that to go pick it up because,,, idk i just did.
