whoah

yeah, im not dead, neith' is GIBWB, which is an acronym for my co-author.

Hey, Im lazy!

Yeah.

So, I leave you with a pomo meta-poem.

Untitled (#23)

This poem does not start with this line
Nor, by expansion, end with this one.

Isn't it just brilliant?

Not really? Hmmm... I like it.

And how about this haiku?

Untitled (#72, Haiku)

Love, love will tear us
apart, like this haiku...
Haikus are great, yeah

I love (meta) stuff. It !is bad. (! before any word [no space] means that it is negated, so '!good' means 'not good'. Its all to do with my insane geekiness. [It comes from programming stuff, at least in most curly braquet languages (CBPL) I know, which is one... GML. Wikipedia them(THis is a lot of brackets)])

'sup (rant about societies ridiculously low views of video games)

Hey, guys, me again.

How awesome is it that Obama won the election?
Very, very. If McCain won... that would be terrible.
Well, see, he's like an extension of bush, but smarter... not that that says anything...
He's pro-guns - we would all be doomed.

Yeah, today was awesome. And hey! I live in Australia, so I'm not directly affected by the new president!

Hey, what would you say to maybe a new co-author?
Or two? Or (hopefully) five or so?
Then this blog would actually get updated once in a while.
Not that I can talk... have you seen my webcomic? Its sprite-based, so all you who don't like video games or just don't see the point of them (such as my co-author), dont look at them. Just go to www.drunkduck.com/ and search for 'runaway', 'sonic again', 'megaman q' (I never update that one) or 'super mario 64 + 1' (my fave). Warning! I like pokemon.

Well, haven't updated in AGES!
But I am not lazy... :(

Oh, and stop seeing video games as a bad thing. (CAUTION: POSSIBLY OFFENSIVE BUT NEEDED RANT AHEAD)
I quote, "someday, if society allows it, games will have their shakespeare". I can't remember the author of the book, but its a brilliant book on game design.
But, yeah, games are an art form. Or at least, as much of an art form as society allows it to be.
Just like shakespeare's plays were only watched by lower class and middle class people mostly, games are only played by a select few, who have open minds.
Just like TV started out as something that middle class watched while the upper class was too busy having tea parties and eating scones (pronounced: sk-EW-ns), so to do video games have a chance.

Don't just reject it immediately because you don't understand it, ok? Po-tay-toe, po-tah-to. Doing that is what causes wars, what causes hate, what causes death. Maybe on a larger scale, but at the moment gamers are currently looked down on by the 'higher classes' of society.
I hate it.
I absolutely hate it.

You people are so ignorant.

I absolutely fucking hate it.

Seriously, don't knock it till you've tried it.
And hey, I don't particularly njoy classical music, but I'm not anti-classical-music or anything. So don't be with video games.

And for the last time, there is a difference between video games and computer games.
People who call them computer games know almost nothing about them.

VIDEO GAMES AREN'T ALL PACMAN AND SUPER MARIO BROS STYLE PIXEL-BASED GAMES OR VIOLENT FPS GAMES.

[edit: Removed half of rant to make more... friendly. :D]

Oh, by the way, my spelling isn't that great of some words... I use colloqueal (?) language, sue me.

WHOAH!!!!

Hey guys - if you want to make your own (bitmap based) font, GO HERE -

LINK

yeah, I found it, it's really cool - you can actually download the font as a font (*.ttf) and it works! For some reason, it doesn't work with WinWord for me, but I have a really old version.

As some of you may know, I'm creating my own language, (no I'm a geek not a nerd) and this is awesome because I got the character I didn't have.

The last one. Before the exclamation mark.
:)

HAI GUYZ!!!!1

yeah, just to challenge my co-authors insult that I am lazy (well, maye I am), I titled this post "HAI GUYZ!!!!1".

Also, I wrote a poem.

UNTITLED (L26)

Its like the face inside
But I amn't* actually sick
I just have a
whoah! actual
fact of the matter is
what you stand.

*lol

If you think I'm stupid or something, its actually a really deep poem. I spent a while making it. *coughcough* and, its postmodern, so those who think po'mo' is just hot air, don't even bother reading it.

Are you kidding? Post-modernism is great! It allows you to (and I use art as an example of a medium) express things beyond the bounds of conventional art. Take Yasumasa Morimura, for example: His work 'Mona Lisa in Pregnancy' is just brilliant. If it weren't for po'mo'ism, that appropriation wouldn't exist. (and no, its not just great because she's naked.) (well, maybe thats part of it.)

Song

Since my other counterpart is being lazy, I have a challenge to anyone who reads this post: The challenge is to write a song for my god awful lyrics and post it back to me or send it to me at ella.cutler@ozemail.com.au
So without much further ado here they are:
my heart is waiting, waiting for you
to take me across the seas
from all harm away from this world
we'll fly my love to the heavens above

in the moonlight we'll sing
and in the starlight we'll dance
weaving through trees
and rolling in grass

The stars were waiting, waiting for us
to hide our faults
and to show us our love
we laughed and we smiled
at the foxes at play

in the moonlight we'll dance
and in the starlight we'll sing
weaving through trees
and rolling in grass

oh my love, oh my love
lets travel the seas
in our little red ship
forever and ever till dawn
reaches shore
all our worries are gone
and you'll see one day
our love is here forever to stay

In the moonlight we'll sing
and in the starlight we'll dance
weaving through trees
and rolling grass

weaving through trees
and rolling in grass

You can add to the lyrics if you want Good Luck

I've never really understood why ugg boots are so fashionable, I mean their comfy and warm, but it is my opinion THEY SHOULD NEVER BE WORN OUTSIDE THE HOUSE!!!!! They're so UGLY and every time I see  them I always think Bogan. Saying all of this makes me a bit of a hypocrite, because when I was 11 I begged and begged for a pair despite the protests of my parents.  So I am very sorry if this rant insults anybody, but what still eludes me is why their so fashionable in the US and the UK. (says sorry meekly)
lots of love xoxoxx

This Is For You

I also have a small piece of artwork for today as a special treat!

For those who may have heard of the absolutely beautiful book by Rob Ryan, you may not get the reference in this piece of poetry I wrote.

This Is For You

If you ponder what is love,
than this is for you;
Is it the steady rhythm of your heart,
The gentle cries of a child as it is,
comforted by his mother,
the weeping of a lover,
as the other leaves this world,
or the deep red blooms of Autumn;
Love is a fickle thing,
Its defines our actions, our motives;
Yet we still do not have,
 a definition for it;
If you believe in love,
but find it difficult to explain:

This is For You

Awesome video!

Check this vid out! Its a tilt-shift timelapse. More on the site - follow link in embedded player.

This isn't toys or whatever. Its real. Just the lens effect does this. Also, it's worth waiting until maybe 25% of the video is buffered at least before starting.

Oh, and its worth it to go to the version on Vimeo, and go full screen and HD. It really is.

whoah!

whoah! Im back, after a month, from my, uh, "hiatus".

What? Slacking off? Of course not!

Anyway, yeah.

Uhh, you know what's really wierd? I dunno, that's why Im asking you.

Okay, before I type something else I regret, let me tell you something very cool - MOTHER 3.
It was released in English! Translated by fans though. In case you are wondering what it is, check out the official fan translation page. Its the sequel to an AWESOME RPG called Earthbound, (No, Ness from Smash Bros isn't "Nintendo Entertainment System Secret" or anything, he's actually from Earthbound. Lucas is from Mother 3) which if you haven't played, do so now. Come on, I'll wait.

I'm bored of waiting. Anyway, its for the SNES and it didn't come out in Australia. I played it in America. ... Yeah... It features Mr. Saturn, who is my avvy atm.

To commemorate M3FT being released, I am writing this in RPG style writing, where important things are in red.

Also, there is a co-author, so watch out for her insane poetry and art, and her philosophical questions about, well, stuff. Or, not. I dunno. Just more insane ramblings.

okay, well, cyas~

Hwahahahaha!

Mah boi.

I sort of figured that if everyone is starting blogs but only posting once then giving up, I had better post again, as sort-of anti-give-up proof.

Random thought: If the govt. wanted to make people cut dependance on fossil fuels, why tax on solar power? Its just stupid. That stupid government.

You know, soon I'm gonna run out of stuff to post... I guess that means, I have to find another. Oh well. I know just the person.
I think.

I was all like, I'll start a blog! And then I was all like, Okay. And so I did :)

Also, how many posts are there with 'the kings of appletown' stuff? Just press 'next blog', it will be that.

SEX REFERENCE!

Y, hallo thar!

No, I chose to spell it like that on purpose.
Well, this blog is all about just posting whatever I feel like posting.

Yeah. Ramble, ramble, ramble. But whatever, enough rambling. Let me introduce myself.

I am Smaz, and I guess, there's nothing interesting about me. I love video games, but prefer classic games to fps (don't shoot me!). I live in Australia.
Linkin Park is totally the best band ever, I used to be a huge fanboy (one of few Aussies to have actual copy of Hybrid Theory EP (I think)) , but they aren't the only music for me - Green Day is awesome, so is Madina Lake, Panic at the Disco, Fort Minor (no surprise there), and U2. And, Daft Punk ftw!

I love the internet, and yeah. (Expect to see over 9,000 meems. (lol, metareferentiality!) )
The best movies ever are The Million Dollar Hotel (I want to see it again but can't find it anywhere) and Across The Universe.

Hmm, ranting eh? That gives me an idea.
Needless rant: I am annoyed that, like, everyone says that geeks and nerds are the same thing.
They aren't. A nerd is a smart person, person who studies alot and has no life. A geek is someone who is good at technology (or not), lives on the internet, and has no life. Geeks play games and end up spending a living as an IT guy, nerds end up being scientists. (I am a geek, btw)

Not that I amn't (lol) smart.

Oh yeah... This blog may or may not get a co-author or two, so hang in there. Also, there may be 'teen content', so if you don't like reading pages that even mention sex, drugs, rock and roll, then you evidently won't like reading this blog.

Oh well. Goodbye, see you later.

WAT UP MY DELICIOUS BIATCHS!
