i work with a brasilian girl and she was telling me about how everything in brasil has just stopped. people are protesting cos the government chose to spend $30 billion on the next world cup.
a country with an incredible amount of poverty. spending more than the last 3 worldcup's spent combined. so now the people are super furious cos they cant understand why the money isnt going to education, medicine, real shit etc.
she showed me a bunch of insane videos on her phone and her whole facebook feed was in portugese and all about overthrowing the government
