And fuck

Italians are heaps racist?? Or sards at least... Or some sards. Cause the star player of italy tonight was a black guy, and all over facebook there's posts like

'sarai anche un coglione nero ma stanotte hai fatto sogni!'

Which means 'you may be a black fucker [lit. testicle] but tonight you made dreams happen!'

Then the comment is like, 'bro you're a racist??' and the guy defends himself like, 'no I was just unhappy there's a black guy on the national team but that's ok because he won for us tonight!'

Pics related but in Italian obv
Also you should look up his second goal on youtube or something, he just runs around, takes his shirt off and flexes

FORZA ITALIA!!!!!!

Holy shittt soccer is a completely different fucking thing here!! Fuck I stayed with the guys at the oratory to watch it and then they took me to do a giro around the town cause Italy won and shit! Everyone, I mean everyone, was in the streets and in cars waving Italian flags errywhere and driving around cheering each other! Holy shit that one player who scored both goals is good! And Italy also has a god tier goal keeper you know that? Smaz out!

Ps sorry hogg about Germany losing unless you don't follow eurosoccer... I don't except for this match and the next one cause they are kind of big things here

Which one to buy?

Yo guys! Which one do I buy (this is mainly for Smaz, but if anyone else has an opinion then make it)?Pokemon Black or White? I don't really know anything about them but I want a new Pokemon game.

So yeah, tell me please which one is better.
my fortune cookie said that i can talk my way out of almost anything. that aint even a fortune. also, i did a drawing. and blogger isnt letting me make a post title >.>

Someone thought it was a good idea to go hiking.

It wasn't.

We walked uphill for three hours. Like there was cool shit with a glacier and mountain stream and stuff for the last hour but the first two were like in trees, german forest steep and rocky path. I am fucking exhausted.
Pictures were cool but I will post them later.

EDIT: Also, who remembers this? Just cause it came up in the convo when I was talking to Ru

Japan-yo jon read dis foo'

Man, Japan has really become my second life. But, i really dont want to stop living overseas in just japan- i really want to go to Peru and Morocco for some reason. Ive been told heaps of times that i just look like someone that knows lots of languages- and truth is i have never really bothered thinking about seriously learning another language until i came to IGS, seriously the shire is a giant rock which everyone lives under- no joke.
I remember i was just chilling before class one time with everyone on the level 2 couches outside the library, and Doctor Durn (spell error haha my bad) randomly comes up to me and says, "Hey Alex... Can you speak Latin?" haha was interesting.
But my great great grandfather could speak 5 languages apparently, not sure exactly what but he was greek, so probably Italian and Arabic aswell. (possibly turkish and most likely english now that i think bout it were the other 2)
Anyhow, i decided this a long time ago, but for every 3 years of my life i will start a new language. Or possibly every 4. Im in my 3rd year of Japanese now, and im no where near fluency but im finally getting the hang of it- just the tricky words are getting me and the Kanji really place you back into the mud. But its chill. Next im not sure what i wanna learn, im thinking Spanish. But i kind of feel obliged to learn greek cause is my motherland and all... But even if i go to greece all fluent and such i'll still be looked as an outsider.
But the spanish i wanna learn is south american, not mainland. I have a knack for that- i mean im in Toyama which is countryside Japan, learning countryside Japanese. My dad speaks Islander Greek aswell.
But having said that i cant decide between morocco or egypt. Both are badass. Just the religious customs kinda....not scare, but just put me a little off.
But yeah, if i learn at least 1 language every 4 years, that means that by the time i am 28 i will know 4 languages. To some people thats nothing, but to me its so much having only started in year 11. (oh and someday i wanna learn italian too, but that has to come after greek sorry smaz)

Anyway, i thought id spill. Actually i remember thinking this once when i was a child, because i saw this awesome spy movie where the spies could speak other languages and i was all whoaaa people speaking languages i have no idea what they are saying yayayay spy yayayay cinemas.

Anyhow, the main purpose of this mail was really to tell Jon my phone number but i kinda wanted to disguise it with some information or else it just looks like im only giving a phone number. Which i am... And now you know my aim so this whole thing renders useless. Ok, this paragraph is bulky enough- my number is 0901-391-7586. But if you wanna contact me, maybe mail me at Genki413@softbank.ne.jp (probs have to use yo mammas phone or something). Aight now time to make the number a little more hidden by putting more words, and something more eyecatching to attract eyesight away from the number, 僕はうでの話しとるぞ。Yeahhh word.

Haha alrighty, if i talk too much bout the future i'll take now for granted. Speaking of the now, i hope your having a mad time Hogg, sometime i will learn German and go together with you haha. (i lie i lie)

Aight im off, peace.

EDIT yo i nearly forgot- Smaz my bro follow your heart man, i hope it all works out well with the new fam bam! Keep us updated yeah? If you dont we'll just assume your having an awesome time anyway haha aight kewl. (p.s i can edit again yayay) -.- to whoever took it away you know who you are.

Munich and stuff

So I arrived 2 days ago now. It's Tuesday, 3pm-ish.
I forgot to say we took the A380 Airbus from Dubai to Munich and Business class is on the top floor and they have like a bar in the back of the top floor plane you can just use it for like drinks and stuff and they serve full lunches, with like an entree and I had this nice arabic lamb dish. It was tasty and the experience was classy.
Anyway, Munich is pretty chill. The temperature is like 20 - 25 degrees and the weather sorta switches between sunny and overcast.
On Friday, we are going to Switzerland for the weekend to this Hotel overlooking the lake, apparently it's really pretty and I have my wide angle lens to take photos for you guys.
Plus, I am buying you all presents, cause shit here is cool. Also we went to a beer garden the day we got here and they sell like full litre glasses of beer. It's awesome, I want to bring some of the glasses back cause they cost like 3 Euros. Also some stuff for cocktails thats like a syrup you can only get here.
Also, Anshoo (my dad's girlfriend), bought my this hand cream and I need it here cause the flights really dried out my hands but it's pineapple and passion fruit scented but smells like honey too. It's really nice.
On a side note, I am learning the Arabic alphabet, they have 28 letters and you write from right to left. They have 22 joined and 6 non-joined letters, so all the letters meld like cursive often. I have only learnt 4 so far; alif, baa', taa' and thaa', which are aa, b, t and th sounds respectively.
Anyway, hope life's good for you guys:
Here is a  photo I edited, from Switzerland in January.

And this is a Hui edit, cause I was experimenting with skin airbrushing and general lighting config.

Also, guys super exciting, I am going on a hike through a glacier today!!! I will post photos when I get back!!
Also we need a Skype chatty time, I'm feeling like that'd be good. So Monday the 2nd, 12pm (midnight) Sydney time, 11pm Japan time, 3pm Europe time and 9am Canada time.

Now, it's hard to find a time that'll suit everyone cause of the variation of the time zones but this seems the best manageable.

In Japan

Everything is like expected it to be.

The thing about japan is it is exactly like the movies and stuff. its what you expect it to be. so yeh, im chillen

also i was put in business class for some reason. it was awesome but terrible, like i was rewarded for being bad.

Also Alex do you have a mobile for japan, whats your number? also i dont give a shit, imma come see you.

PEACE

guys

there is an australian dialect of german
aint that cool

yo

anyone who was gonna send me letters or anything, don't for a while cause I'm gonna change family soon

fuck I can't believe it took like 3 months

Hey guys. I have a question or something

If you were in a band or were a musician, what type of genre of music would you be playing/making??

and here's an edit of lambert because it seems to be a trend these days. (the picture is like seriously old)

RU told me to post this here. It's a photoshop edit.

PS: Sorry lambert, this image was just the first one I came across.

I'm in Munich

I arrived in Munich a few hours ago, it's like 6pm now. I got in at like 1:30.

Also, man Smaz or like anyone else; I know you want to learn some new languages over the next few years and stuff, so if you want to learn one of these outside Uni; I have 5 that I want to start learning before I am finished my degree in order to maximise my job opportunities in the Civil Engineering sector.
The 4/5 I want to learn are chosen to maximise my career experience so they may not sound like the most common chosen languages but knowing these 6/7 languages is like a massive help in the world of international business which is what I will be doing if I do Project Management work for an international company.
SO I already have English and almost fluent German, on top of these, I want to learn Arabic, Mandarin, Spanish or Portuguese depending on , Hindi and then the 5th one, I am trying to chose between Japanese and French.

Aight

So I haven't updated this in a long time (I'm not sure if I've posted since I've been 18 even) so I'll try do a quick recap of some stuff.

For those of you who don't know (like maybe Smaz and stuff), I'm at USyd doing Liberal Arts and Science (which means I can do pretty much any science or arts subject). I just finished my exams (which were Analytical Thinking, Middle Ages History, German and Psychology) and am now on holidays.

That said, I am single moming it up since I work 2 jobs (at Bakers and Grill'd [which is a burger place in Darling Harbour]) so I am still doing stuff most of the time, and that was on top of uni. But yeah, it's alright. I made friends at uni (it's cool how I hang with a few kids who left in primary school and the other Christian, Finn and Brigitta were all in classes that I had) so that's good.

These holidays ima learn to skate and get a dope new bike! And it's gonna be sweet.

I guess there's not much else, just wanted to say what was happening in my life. Also, Smaz, I wrote a late comment on your post, but pretty much if you really want to go live in mainland Italy, then don't take "no" for an answer. And how's it going for our other overseas brethren (namely Passas since you update the least of everyone overseas, is your exchange going good)?

So yeah, see ya'll later!

JON

SORRY i took so long bro! But i gotta say meeting up with you here is pretty hard >.<
Bad point- its not allowed to meet up with others
Good point- i hate following rules anyhow
Badpoint- I need to ask my host family if we are gonna meet up
Good point- We could be mad ninja bout meeting up and do it after school sometime, and before i get home
Bad point- Coming all the way to Toyama just for an afternoon is a waste
Possibly bad point- i would have sex with you in a non homosexual way if you came here just to say hi for an afternoon
Good point- Two weeks form now is test week so from next week, until tests finishes i can go home as soon as school finishes, instead of going to clubs.
Bad point- Toyama is far man

As much as i wanna meet up with you and hang, like seriously i really think it would be the best thing ever, im not too sure if we can pull it off! But anyway, we shall talk.

Im living in Yokota machi, Takaoka city, Toyama. If you wanna google it it might be easier to copy paste this- 横田町、高岡市、富山県。(looks way more badass in kanji)
saturday or a sunday would be the best, i might actually be able to convince my fam-bam to come meet you aswell!
Think about it carefully man! I mean fuck i wanna meet up, but if you cant do it its completely ok! I mean, sure we'll be in the same country at the same time, but its like the same distance from syd to gold coast, and lets face it no one saw the french boys after schoolies haha.
Ill check more regularly from now on cause i think you leave in two days!
Speak to you soon bro

Look Smaz, guess who's chillin with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu

It's your idols and my idol~!

Business Lounge Experience

I feel like such a rich kid, cept the one where the Dad paid for the flight and the kids are sitting in the lounge. Plus, there is no dress code but of the maybe 20 people in here now, not including ourselves; only one is a woman. And all the men have those like mini business suitcases and wear suits, although there are a few in jeans or like are 60 yr old americans, with high wasted jeans and bright coloured shirts.

Then this guy came in and he looks like a guy from Boston Legal, like not in his face but in terms of his business look, I guess.

I wouldn't be posting but I am exceedingly bored and kinda just want to get on the plane. It's 8pm in Japan, and now dark. The lounge is very large and I they lent us an adaptor so I can charge my laptop. So Tumblr all the way. Also cause like my laptop headphone thingy won't work, so I can't watch the thing I want cause I have Comedy shows to watch but they are stuck on my laptop as I have no space on my mini sd card for them as that has my harry potter movies on it.

Yeh so my plans changed

We got to the airport in Sydney to board our 6 am Emirates flight to Dubai and then to catch another one to Munich.

But apparently, they overbooked the flight and both my sister and I were denied boarding as we were 2 of 8 people that didn't do online check-in. So they changed our flight, upgraded our seats, gave us a free meal and free return flights to Munich.

We checked in, got free food and board our plane at 8:15 am, we flew the 9 hours and 50 minutes on Japanese Airlines, Premium Economy to Tokyo, and I am now sitting in the American Airlines Admiral Club for the next 3 hours. We are flying the next 10 hours 50 minutes on an Emirates flight in Business class to Dubai, then we get to wait another 4 and a half hours in the Dubai Business Lounge and then fly the final 6 and a half hours to Munich, also in Business. It's nice although we will be flying a total of 27 hours, plus the 10 and a half in airports, we essentially get an extra 12 hours before we get to Europe.

But I slept for 6 hours in the first flight and will sleep at least half the next one; so should be good.

EDIT: Sitting in the Dubai Business Lounge now, it is pretty chill with like free food and wifi again. They have couches and stuff too, it's basically like the entire upper level of the airport. It's getting to be close to 4:30am here in Dubai and there are there are a lot of people in the lounge. I was amused cause a guy walked through and gave us a "why are children here?" look but he had a trophy wife that looked incredibly astounded by the place. Will post again when we get the Munich I guess, although all I am probably going tio want to do is shower and sleep.

5 and a half hours until getting up

So it's 10. I'm not packed, my room is still a mess and I have done nothing. And I still have to sleep. I don't think I will get much

EDIT: It's 1:15 am and I am finished all of it, I am packed, my load of washing is in the dryer (I realised at like 11, all my socks were dirty and on my floor) and my room is clean enough to not look messy, like it's not spotless, but it's not like a bomb hit it. My jeans are dried from the heater, I also washed them at like 7, and I still get 2 hours sleep, I would stay up but;it's late and I am tired or stressed or both, I can't really tell. and like 23 hours with a 12 year old on no sleep is worse than 23 hours with a 12 year old with 2 hrs sleep. Stupid 6am flights.
Anyway, will probs post in Dubai or something cause I will have laptop and tablet and they have free wifi.

free hotel chocolate

hey yall, im in a hotel room now. just spent the day with a bit of shopping.
the place is freakin nice like my mom's here for work so we in the executive suite and have access to the executive lounge which is basically a free gourmet buffet for anytime. like i walked in and some guy was like "would you like some champagne mam?" and i was all like "nah i dont like alcohol loll" but yeah. they have mad nice desserts.

but man on the plane to singapore, me and my mom got to our seats and there was this woman there, so we're like, hey man this is our seat, and she was like (in a super angry tone) "No this is my seat, they moved me here!" so we liked talked to the air hostess and she was like "nah bra that seat yours, the woman's seat is the other one across the aisle" and the woman kicked the biggest fuss, like she was all "NO I BOOKED A SIDE AISLE SEAT" and the hostess was like "Sorry miss the plane is fully booked and only this aisle seat is available" and she would fucking stop. like she was just complaining and getting angry because she wanted an aisle seat that was on the side of the plane, not the middle. like as if that makes a difference. and she was full asking them to make us switch and my mum was like "what? you wanna split me and my daughter up? No."

like what the shit, why do some people bother complaining about nothing?

shit guys

ok this is a kinda lengthy, heaps sentimental post...
dun judge me

now is a really weird time for me. I've reached the 5 month mark on my exchange on this shithole of an island and so only 3 more remain. I've been here for what seems like at the same time, both forever and for practically no time at all. This time now is basically the split between the two halves of my experience... no actually the trip to terralba that was one of the best fucking times of my life, that was definitely the split, cause it changed my mind about so much about being here, where I am now.
the first half obviously consisted of school, but I have no idea what this second half will entail and this kind of scares me. there are a number of possibilities branching out in front of me, some harder to reach then others, and I'm not entirely comfortable with any of them. it's really weird.
Also so many other exchange students are leaving, including my best friend for ages Rose who went back to Thailand this morning.

The three main options I have right now, that I am entertaining, are:

dis snail big like dis dog small

so like

where I'm staying on the way to the downtown area, there are these people who are trying to sell their art work on the streets.

at first i was like, dam why these people trying to sell their shitty arkworks. because they are legistically like, a line drawing of a marijuana leaf, printed from google images or some shit and coloured in with some shitty oil pastel from the dollar shop. Most of them are just terrible oil pastel drawings on standard A4 paper. And then i realised that they were all potheads and so it was like potheads making art and selling it on the side of the road.

the thing is tho, like everytime i walk past it, I see more and more people everytime. It's like a growing pothead art and crafts society. That's nice though, a community for potheads coming together doing arts and crafts.

Man

One of The things i miss about sydney was how close everything is... Like, if you get lost or the bus/train doesn't come no worries! You can just walk or take a taxi or get someone to pick you up

Here? When you're in a town far from home and they cancel the train for no reason and then offer no replacement you're fucked

Ok but seriously what should I do? I'm trapped in this other town should I get a hotel or something? I kinda wanna it'd be badass... If anyone sees this in time of course
Maybe I should go to Cagliari and just like, get a hotel there instead... That'd be kinda nice I guess

i just had the fuckin BEST TIME OF MY LIFE or at least one of them,
with the other exchange students at terralba, but sardinian terralba. it was like an island of australian-american mentality again which was really nice!
idk if i'd say the best because schoolies is easily one of the best and every time i hear 'we found love' i almost cry out of how awesome it was

and now i still dont really feel like im back in the shithole that is macomer
its kinda surreal

FUCK that was the best why did it have to end, just doing awesome stuff every day for 10 days and always getting pineapple gelato and drinking then going back at 12 because of the curfew and
having a fucking tv in the house and
having fucking people in the house
and havign chill-ass bros as my host bros there
they are so chill
they are the coolest guys I swear

and i used the internet once and im glad i didnt use it too much
but now
now

now what
(hopefully i change families i've asked because i've realised how shit it is to be living here! i can't take it any more this shit is ridiculous why the fuck didnt i do something before?? this is not why I came here and i wont let them do this to me!!! fuck why did i have to end up with this family instead?)

About that Dad birthday thing...

Anyway, previous post got me thinking and I have realised that I don't recall any moment in which I said "I love you" to my Dad or Mum.

I feel the love but have never said it to them. Anyone just feel awkward saying it to your parents cause I don't feel the same awkwardness when it's my close friends.

Shit...

I didnt mail my dad on his birthday.

My day

By popular demand I shall write a post about my day. So today I woke then had a shower etc. then I went out for breakfast with my mum to a really Asian place in chinatown. Then I realised the time was 5 to 9 so I arrived late to my maths lecture, AGAIN. I sat near the back cus all of my uni friends are mad rebels so the don't come to lectures that an also the fact that they live a few light years away. So it was a math revision lecture on second order differential equations. It was good because I really need help with that topic also I leant that matrices can be used to solve simultaneous equations. I was mind blown. So I left my maths class feeling confident that I can get 4 marks in my exam. I then walked out of my lecture hall in the main building which looks like a giant poo stick and walked into the more arts design building as I have a tutorial there for communication. When I walked into the class I was ask where I came from. After I told them I was from Thailand I had a girl ask me what language they spoke there. This of course made me a bit angry but I let it slide as she was hot. For this tutorial we have a MASSIVE BITCH for a tutor. She is really unhelpful and boring. But I manage to get through this and finally walked out of my last communication tutorial for the semester 8 minutes early. I then proceeded to walk to macdonalds and purchased from the lose change menu 2 double cheese burgers, 2 chicken n cheese burgers and 2 small fries which came to $10 exactly. I of course got it take away so I could walk down to the centre and eat it before work. The weather was fairly good today so I sat outside with my other work mate and proceeded to have very irrelevant convosations dragons and fire breathing. Then I went to get ready for work and got my swimmers then my wet suit on then my uniform. I proceeded to teach my classes the usual program but durring my 5 o'clock class this little girl gave me a picture she drew in school today of our swimming lessons. I thought that was pretty awesome. Then I finished my shift early as I don't have anyone in my last class. I had a shower and got dressed. Of course I was the last to walk out of the centre compared to the other teachers. I walked home cus I thought the weather was pretty good. On my way home I got some Thai food takeaway in glebe. Then I stopped by Nat's house to borrow his bike. But I proceeded to stay a this house for half an hour talking about bikes and pokemon. Then when I got home I ate and watch avatar last airbender for a bit. After that I looked at flights for me to go to new Zealand on the 1st of July for a week. After that I got in my room and wrote a paragraph which I need to type and submit tomorrow morning. I am now ending my night with writing this post. Hope that was really interesting. I hope to write more in the future. Manakon out

Exams again

So I just finished my physics notes.

32 single sided hand-written pages of formulae and explanations of concepts in Physics.

And I have to learn all of it by Friday

Yay life.

Update: LEARNING IS NOT GOING WELL. The practice questions are killing me

...

For a part of my dormitory application process,
I have to do this room mate compatibility quiz thing and one of the question is:

------------------------------------------------
How sociable are you?

Please rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 5. 1 being not sociable and 5 being very sociable.

------------------------------------------------

halp guise. I don't know what to put. like do you think they will try and match up people who are recluse together or maybe put people who are opposites so that the more sociable person will be paired with a less sociable person to like make the less sociable person more comfortable. Or will they put more sociable people with sociable people so that they will get along... but mostly because i have no clue how sociable i am.. Help guys.

(pls don't say 'put 1 ru because you have no friends' comments like tat hurt ma feelings [not that i would have any because feelings are gay])

Interesting development in my life

So I have pretty much been given 3 and a half months to move out of home, stuff not working with family and such.

So i was told about this massacre in Japan

And it was insane, because this whole japanese religious cult released poison gas numerous times killing and injuring heaps of people.
But as interesting as it was to read and hear about that incident, i found this as a link on wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_people_who_have_claimed_to_be_Jesus

At first i laughed, just reading the title alone is just.. Haha.

But, i found a certain pattern in the list of people. Its not hard to find if you just read a few, that is, people often gave themselves this title in order to lead mass massacres or suicidal bombings.

The fuck.

I mean, religion is meant to enhance peace in a society but when it comes to 'fear of Armageddon' or something apocalyptic everyone seems to turn a blind eye and go crazy.

Are people that easy to manipulate?!

I guess its in history aswell because whole countries have fought over there own religions sake.

Then i got thinking, why do we believe in such superstitions in such a scientific world? Like.... will the tradition of the pope continue forever? Will people still hang up little objects in their house for protection against whatever they believe to be evil? And so...why do we allow such fear to poison our minds that evil spirits will haunt us or take us to hell and not heaven. It would be easier to believe in the good practice of humanity rather than the paranoia of that which doesnt really exist.

But having said that i go to greek church every year on easter and christmas because it just is. I guess people will do anything to belong.

If someone tells you that they are christian your are like oh ok its cool. But if someone tells you they believe in harry potter's reality you are like bro stop waving sticks in my face. Harry potter has good values, saving friends, sticking to the light and all that jazz. So porce no lostos?

I guess because we cant leap back in time and see what people were talking about in the times of Jesus we just cast it as reality.

Im not saying im a harry potter believer, chill. Its just....nnnnnnnggggggggg.
