fml

My amazing host family is going away for 12 days to Ireland (except the sis who's going to Barcelona) and so I have to stay 12 fucking days with the area rep and her family, and this shit is so uncomfortable and the room smells really bad and the queen size bed is just two different beds side by side with different matters heights and firmnesses and its hells of kinds of uncomfortable, and I'm not supposed to go out because they don't want me talking to the other girl who has a family in this town because she speaks almost no Italian

And I can tell the area rep is pissed at me because I changed families, she didmt even greet me when I got here and she was saying to me that it's bad about the other girl because her host family didn't know she would be so challenged in learning Italian but somehow she made it a really not-fucking-subtle dig at me by saying something like, "it's tough for families when they volunteer to host someone and then it doesnt turn out well" which she was really fucking subtly referring to my old host family because I made them feel bad or something?? Because if it wasn't for my family in Australia telling the Aussie organisation, "no this bullshit is enough we didn't pay xxx for the situation he has" I never would have moved because I had been trying forever by talking to her about it, and literally everyone else I talked to about my old situation was shocked they would let a family like that host. So she has it in for me, she is searching for more volunteer work for me (which is fucking bullshit anyway there's no point) and she's looking into making me work with 'troubled' children, and I was like, surely there's something else because that's really not suited to me and she just fucking ignored it,

Tldr; I have to stay with the crazy control freak area rep for 12 days who is really angry at me but is taking it out passive-aggressively because I changed family and she didn't want me to, presumably because she is friends with them

Also fml cause I got a mosquito bite ((it itches like fuck))

That sucks bro. At first I thought when you were like "she made a really not subtle dig" that you were refering to the other girl in the area being into you but then I realised that the Man ain't allowing that. Cramping your style and schtuff.

But I don't know what I'd do in this situation, I mean you don't really have a choice for the 12 days with this lady but after that I'm sure you can be like "nope" to the 'troubled kids' work. Maybe even try find some volunteer work yourself in this time, that way they can't really stop you and you've got something that you want (unless the Man just loves cramping your style). And for the bed situation, just try sleep on one side (the best side) and pretend you have a single bed with a really big bed side table!

Also, how is it going with your actual host family? And how much longer are you over there for?

Haha yeah pretty much I've been using one side of the bed for storage and the other for sleeping on.

The new host family is heaps awesome and it's pretty cool cause the older sister is gonna take me out clubbing... To one of the 2 very distant, expensive clubs there are sort of near the town. I miss world bar and the sydney clubbing scene... And as it turns out, so does she
Yeah and I'm here for another 2 months, I get back around the 4th of October, so its pretty soon

you are literally stuck between a rock and a hard place. But not really literally.
Do your best and even though it seems really hard, i think you should act really nice. Because if she really doesn't like you then it would piss her off that your really nice.
ahh that's so annoying how she doesn't seem to care about your feelings at all. This is meant to be YOUR experience and what you want to do. And she is seriously cramping your style. It's like rather you be nice to people and not hurt their feelings which means that you don't get to do anything instead of being able to experience what sardinia really is. That's so asdikljasldjask arghhh.
That's cray man. She doesn't seem to understand that you signed up for something and it wasn't that. It was to experience italy and meet people. Instead of being put in an uncomfortable situation like having to put up with her shit.

look forward to clubbing. It will probs be a different thing so it will be way cool. It gets better. (hopefully).
