tomorrow

guys i (maybe) have a small job starting tomorrow

i handed out a bunch of resumes like a month ago and it was a really stressful thing for some reason
so because it was stressful i never did it again
but then randomly yesterday morning someone called me about if i wanted a job still, and i was all 'hell yeah, hell yeah hell yeah, hell ya fuckin right, fuckin right hell yeah' etc
so basically tomorrow and sunday im gonna be doing kitchenhand/dishwashing stuff at a caffe in balmain (actually on darling st! fuck yeah) but the downside is that if i do get the job, ill basically never be able to do things on the weekend because its all day sat and sun (and potentially even friday given i have that off of uni)

but but but but but
I'm like, idk
mad stressing out about it now
thing is i don't even know why im stressing about it i just am

like its making me mad anxious and shit i dont even know why?? like im so nervous im tylping this so fast i dont even understand what there is to be nervous about cause i need a job and its just a small caffe and aarghhhh what
so yeah any advice on how to chillax the fuck out or anything like, you guys' experiences with first jobs or something would be really good right now
========
ALSO i think i thought of the best study plan what do you guys think (for people who dont take laptops in)

so what you do is you buy a ringbinder folder for each subject plus an excercise book and then you get a lecture pad (i think thats what they are called, you know the ones with removable paper with holes in it) and thats the only thing you take in unless you intend to study that subject, you make sure you date every page, then write in the notepad.
then when you get home you take the pages out and put them in the ring binder and then copy out / summarize whatever you did into the excercise book so you go over the material straight away ((only for language subjects you get another excercise book just for pure vocabulary))

this way would have the benefits that
a. you don't have to take in heaps of things every day, just the lecture pad + pens
b. it ends up organised no matter what
c. you revise it straight away

but yeah the first thing i said
im mad nervous what the hellll halp

Here's my advice as one of the few people here that have successfully held down a job.

DON'T WORRY!!!

That's pretty much it! Because essentially everyone sucks when they start and and you almost definitely will make mistakes. So what you have to remember is that they knew that you were gonna suck when they hired you! But what they also knew is that you're gonna get heaps better as you go along, learning ways to get stuff done faster and better and generally being a boss at all of your kitchenhandy stuff.

So as long as you don't pull a Jon (and just continue to not be good and not try and learn essentials), then you'll be sweet!

So in summary:
Don't worry
Try and do your best
Be prepared to fail, but push through any doubts that you may have because you can do it!!!

And as a last thing, plates and glasses cost jack all, and as long as you're like "Yo, I accedentally broke a glass. Sorry. What should I do now?" then they'll be like "Naw mang, it's all G. We'a jus' sweep dat sucka up, wrap it in papper 'n' den shoot it into the basketball hoop shaped bin, yo!" (cause I assume that Balmain is a black neighbourhood...)

So don't worry Smaz! I believe in you and you can tell us all about it tomorrow/today!!!

Oh, and that study thing looks pretty good too.
