there was no catch with kony2012?? we still need to find him.
that has been the number 1 priority of the 21st century and always will be

The catch is that it's basically unfeasible and the tiles just aren't suited for long-term use and in different sorts of weather

yeah but we'll figure that shit out soon enough

Also bitumen which we use for roads is essentially the best thing for roads. Ignoring the fact that it's cheap because it's a bi-product of petroleum fractioning so therefore recycled, it's resilient in basically all environments, tiles are not good to drive on, there are reasons we don't use them for roads.

Also the roadway system is like huge, and the wiring would cost more than you would save, burying electrical wires costs so much money, like millions of dollars. Not to mention the LEDs would be likely invisible and the heating technology is kind of ehh, I mean the fact the solar panels would be covered in snow at the time is a bit like what are you on about?
And the solar technology basically already exists, at a higher rate of efficiency as well.
They are only getting 15%, that's kind of weak. You can get solar panels with efficiency ratings of 25% now. It would be better to cover the roadways with solar panels if people are going to spend the money.
The point is, the enthusiasm is good, but misdirected.
