They are the most venemous snakes in the enitre world and civilians are banned from going to the island unless they are scientist with waivers and consent. Those snakes account for 90% of snake related deaths as their venom is so deadly, it will melt the flesh around the bite.
Eventhough they are so abundant on that land, they are still classified as critically endangered because their entire population is on less than 10km squared area and sometimes the produce sterile snakes because they are intersex.
