October Fools Day, and, Rant vs Apple (redux)

Rant against Apple (but not as good as the other one)
Everyone knows Windows is better, except for anyone that uses a Mac. But the thing is, Mac isn't as good as Windows, its just more stylish, and by that, I mean, no, not really, it just has a higher marketing budget.
Also, Windows isn't a religion. You own a Windows machine, yeah, whatever, so do heaps of people. If you own a Mac machine, however, you absolutely must be obsessed with Mac, and would rather tear out your own guts than use a Windows over a Mac. Admit it: it's true. No matter what any Windows user says, you just can't admit that a Windows could possibly be equal to (let alone better than) one of the "steve-god"s humble creations. Steve is a good name, except if followed by 'Jobs'.
Here are some of the stupid arguments they use, shot down like a died cat. Incidentally, I have found God, here is a list of proofs. (Hint: Not really.)

Argument 1: Mac is better than Windows.
Since when? That's not an argument, that's a topic, (and they say Windows is stupid) and a religion, too.

Argument 2: Because Mac can sync with Windows' networks, it is better than or equal to.
First off, let me just say that just because it can sync with a Windows network doesn't mean it can do everything a Windows can do. A Mac can't use DirectX, for instance. For the less technical among us, DirectX is a coding engine that allows for much of the functionality of windows, such as drawing things on the screen and displaying text character by character. It also allows for (admittedly laggish and basic) real-time 3D rendering.
Mac doesn't have DirX, which is why so many (so, so, so many) Windows applications don't work on Mac. For 3D rendering, they use openGL, which is much faster than DirX, but Windows also uses it. All smart game dev's use openGL over DirX, even in Windows.
Also, Mac not having DirX is the reason that all of the games I make (even though I haven't finished one to date, I'm getting really close to finishing something that is very innovative and smart and stuff - but that's a different post) only work with Windows. And, for the record, Windows Emu's are really slow.

Argument 3: I don't use a computer much, nor do I know much about them. But since I use a Mac, that makes them somehow superior.
What? It's a well known fact that fewer Mac tech support people know what they're doing, let alone fewer Mac customers/consumers. But, like I mentioned before, they are completely oblivious to the fact that this is true, arguing themselves to be an expert at Mac's.

Argument 4: Photoshop
Windows users have photoshop as well, with exactly the same capabilities as Mac. They were even written as one program, written in a neutral language so that both major OS' could use them.

Argument 5: iPod and iTunes
Uhhh, that's not the argument. iPods work on Windows just as much as on Macs, same as iTunes. Everyone knows that WMP (Windows Media Player) is pretty crappy in comparison. But again, works on both.

Argument 6: Safari
I don't know how this is an argument PRO Mac, but a) Windows gets it too (though nobody's stupid enough to get it) and b), FIREFOX!

Argument 7: Garageband
I take note of your Garageband and counter with my MS Paint.

Argument 8: Macbook Air
Come on, this peice of marketing brilliance is stupid. Who wants a computer as thin as an iPod if you can't even load CD's into it?

Argument 9: Multi-touch trackpads on laptops
Hmmm, Apple would never get away with trying to patent multi-touch touchscreens and trackpads.
But in reply, Mac has generally only had ONE BUTTON MOUSES, which has led to the invention of the double-click, which is to be the demise of the modern world. Shoop da whoop - multiple touches on a touch screen. Think about it, it's kinda useless. And some people double-click hyperlinks in web pages. Makes me shudder.

Argument 10: Those ads.
I'm going to paraphrase MAD mag here: "Gee, that's a nice marketing angle, given Apple's extremely limited share of the personal computer industry, that the way to sell their product was to make Windows users look like out of touch retards" then at the bottom, the windows guy is saying "Wow, the internet? What's that?"

Argument 11: Windows is for graphs, pie charts and word documents. Mac is for having fun with photos, music and movies.
Have fun playing with your photos and movies while I play any number of the infinitely vaster amount of games available on the PC not the Mac, 'cause in the computer and video games stores, you see isles and isles of games for PC, and none for Macs (once I saw a whole half a shelf dedicated to Mac games, and that was in the Mac store when I was buying my first iPod!)
