Hey.

Two things
1. Harry Potter tickets I have them and we can just go like directly from school.
Lambert and Madison have to pay me tomorrow.

2. Smaz, who did you do for the Physics thing?
I am slightly confused, this is the first 2 pages summary.

  • · This was the final piece of evidence that destroyed Dalton’s theory that atoms were solid spherical particles.
  • · Bothe and Becker showed some light elements emit gamma rays when bombarded with alpha polonium particle.
  • · Beryllium was the best example, element 4, it had a penetrating power distinctly greater than other elements
  • · Webster, a scientist, the intensity of the radiation emitted was measured by the Geiger-Mueller tube counter and a high pressure ionisation chamber.
  • · The radiations however included “certain peculiarities”. They were then passed into an expansion chamber, photographs were taken and nothing seemed odd, but it turns out their method was insufficient. Polonium was weak as well.
  • · Madame Curie-Joliot and M. Joliot found Beryllium and Boron could eject protons at high velocities. Their experiment was set up so that the

what do you mean machine? the emission system was a platinum cone (I think) pressurised on the inside with a plate of radium in it, and glass that produces a stronger flow of alpha particles out the glass end. in a concentrated beam. or something
