are they that desperate for money?
for instance, rainbow six vegas 2, they had an update today (it was a 2008 game) and all the updates did was put advertisements for the A-team, far cry 2, and comcast. it was kinda cool at first, but really pathetic afterwise.

chyeah coz we all know how gamers are SO dedicated to their games, they want to have the most realistic gameplay possible.. which involves shoving ads in your face every 2 seconds which are completely irrelevant and a ruining the immersiveness of the universe..
But since gamers are SOOO cool with SOOO much money that they don't know what do with it all, ubi decided to "help them out" by making their decision easier by putting ads in games.
